We are currently seeking caring and dynamic staff who are looking for a Per-Diem opportunity to have a direct and positive impact on the lives of our residents while transporting them to their medical appointments as well as Activities outings. Expectations of this position include but are not limited to: Driving safely at all times; obey rules of the road; ensure passengers feel safe during transport; report problems to appropriate party in timely manner; Detail oriented in all aspects of the job; demonstrate a strong work ethic. The incumbent should be able to fulfill a flexible schedule and be available during daytime, evening and weekend hours.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Maintains a high level of confidentiality regarding residents, staff, and the community
Maintains a current understanding of procedures if an accident should occur with the van, with or without residents on board
Follows proper reporting procedures
Demonstrates ability to set priorities
Completes assignments in a timely manner while managing multiple duties and responsibilities
Demonstrates flexibility and the ability to work in an environment that promotes teamwork and collaboration
Demonstrates innovation and creativity
Has patience, high energy, and resourcefulness in problem solving
Experience with Seniors preferred
Must obtain a valid state of Maine Class C drivers license. Must have a clean driving record.
Minimum of High School Diploma or GED
Physical stamina and ability to assist residents or lift residents where needed and in emergencies
